Dirtbags Academy is the youth mentorship and skill-building branch of Dirtbags California. We support local youth who face barriers such as academic disengagement, limited opportunities, or social marginalization. Through mentorship, hands-on skill development, and real-world community projects, Dirtbags Academy provides a safe and inclusive environment where young people can explore new skills, discover career pathways, and build the confidence to succeed. Our program blends practical trade training with personal growth, giving participants the tools to excel both professionally and personally. At Dirtbags Academy, every project is a chance to learn, every skill is a step toward independence, and every student is part of our family.

Dirtbags Do Good is a community engagement initiative that brings together youth, neighbors, and local partners to make a positive impact across Long Beach. Each month, the Dirtbags team joins a local community effort, whether it’s a neighborhood clean-up, a soup kitchen, or another volunteer event — to give back where it’s needed most. Through hands-on service, participants build teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose. More than just volunteering, Dirtbags Do Good is a movement that shows how small actions, done together, create lasting change.
